Starting from April 25, 2020, the first batch of 16 provinces and municipalities have implemented the electronic registration of motor vehicle inspection marks, issuing electronic certificates of inspection marks to 22.2 million newly registered and inspection business owners, and pushing electronic certificates of inspection marks to 153 million vehicles within the validity period of inspection.

    Starting from June 20, 15 provinces (autonomous regions) in Hebei, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Jilin, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Henan, Guangxi, Xizang, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai and Ningxia will implement electronic inspection marks, realizing the full coverage of the whole country.

    Third, it is widely applied.The electronic certificate of inspection mark can be applied to law enforcement management, public services, economic activities and other scenarios, encouraging relevant industry departments to promote the application, to bring more benefits and convenience for the owners or drivers of motor vehicles.During law enforcement inspection, vehicles that have obtained electronic certificates of inspection signs do not need to paste paper signs again. Traffic police will check the vehicle inspection status through law enforcement PDA in law enforcement management.During the handling of the accident, the parties concerned may check the electronic certificate of the other party's vehicle inspection mark to confirm the status of the vehicle inspection for the financial loss accident handled through negotiation.When insurance claims, the insurance company can show the electronic certificate of inspection mark, used for the vehicle insurance claims related procedures.When leasing, mortgaging or trading vehicles, they may present electronic certificates with inspection marks to prove the inspection status of vehicles and facilitate public enterprises to handle affairs.

    Since 2019, reform measures such as the "national general test" for driving licenses, the "one-stop" registration and registration of automobile 4S stores, and the off-site handling of traffic violations have been implemented.
