Byd is pre-developing the next generation of high performance, high safety level pure platform.

         On October 26, byd's senior vice President LianYuBo foreign said byd is pure of pre-study the next generation of high performance, high safety level, the new platform will be used a large number of innovative technology, will give full play to the electric car, driving, intelligent advantages in the space, safety, cost, life reached to the same level of the fuel vehicle. The first model based on a new pure level platform will be unveiled at next year's Shanghai Auto Show, Said Lian.

According to public records, BYD launched its first pure electric product, the E6, in 2010, and released its third-generation pure electric technology platform in 2018.

      Zhou Lijun, an analyst with The Yiche Research Institute, said BYD's development of a new pure level platform is expected to further reduce costs.

     So far, BYD's new-energy car sales have picked up.

      Byd sold 42,200 vehicles in September, up 3.57% from a year earlier, according to the data. From January to September, the cumulative sales volume was 269,000 units, down 19.9% year on year.

      Byd's new-energy vehicle segment sold 19,900 units in September, up 45.32% year on year. A total of 110,000 vehicles were sold in the first three quarters, down 42.4% year-on-year. Among them, the total sales volume of pure electric vehicles was 78,000, down 36.64% year-on-year, accounting for 70%.

     Byd current new energy vehicle sector although the performance is not good, but its prospects by the capital market.

     Bai Yiyang, of CMB International Research, said BYD's sales fell sharply in the first half of the year, mainly because new models in its new energy sector were launched in the second half of the year. He expects byd to launch several new blade-battery models in the fourth quarter, including the TangEV, E2 and YuanEV.

      This year, BYD introduced razor blade batteries. According to BYD, blade batteries have advantages such as high safety, long life, high energy density and low cost.

     At present, THE HanEV version of BYD has been equipped with blade battery for the first time. The sales volume of the car reached 5,612 units in September, and the cumulative sales volume of the car has exceeded 10,000 units in three months. Byd's E6 and BYD Song PLUS EV, both listed this year, are also scheduled to use blade batteries, leading to a sharp increase in demand for blade batteries.

       According to a report by The Financial News Agency, BYD is stepping up its efforts to increase the production capacity of blade batteries and plans to complete eight production lines by the end of this year, achieving the annual capacity of more than 20GWh.

      Byd will also launch its DM4.0 plug-in hybrid model in the first quarter of next year and expects sales to rebound, Mr Bai said.
