GAC AION V rolled off the assembly line.

    On December 24, AION V rolled off the GAC Aian Smart Ecological Factory. The car is equipped with 5G and V2X modules. It is the world's first mass-produced 5G car to officially land.

    According to GAC Ion, AION V is a "next-generation smart SUV" built with EV+ICV technology, and has 5G and V2X in-vehicle intelligent communication systems independently developed by GAC. The vehicle-level 5G module MH5000 equipped with the car is based on Huawei's new-generation Barong 5000 5G chip.

    GAC Aian said that 5G has three advantages: high speed, low latency, and wide connectivity. The transmission speed is one hundred times faster than 4G, and the latency is only 1/50 of 4G. It can connect millions of terminals at the same time.

    GAC Aian said that the mass production of the first 5G car will bring three major improvements. First, through the integration of 5G V2X technology and intelligent transportation network, AION V realizes the real-time interconnection of car-road-people-cloud, which can provide various new scenarios of L4 intelligent driving; secondly, through the intelligent cockpit function, AION V will support AR /VR ultra-high-definition online video, with intelligent voice interaction system; finally, through the blessing of 5G, OTA upgrades can enter the second-speed era, realizing hardware plug-and-play and continuous upgrades.

    In the future, with 5G empowerment, AION V can also link the internal and external monitoring of the car, and load high-precision map data in real time to realize intelligent emotion recognition and holographic projection calls.

    GAC Aian said that in the future, it will promote the continuous evolution of V2X technology to realize functions such as vehicle networking, AR video calls, VR remote driving, and automatic formation driving.

    In addition, GAC's self-developed graphene technology battery will also be the first to be installed in GAC Ai'an products.

    A few days ago, GAC Group revealed on the interactive platform that the current graphene battery research and development work is continuing, and it is expected that this technology will enter the actual vehicle mass production test by the end of this year. GAC Aeon will be the first brand to use graphene batteries.

    If the graphene battery is mass-produced, it may solve the current two core problems of electric vehicles: slow charging and anxiety about battery life. The biggest advantage of graphene batteries is to increase the speed of fast charging. GAC Group stated that it can be fully charged with 80% power in 8 minutes, and it can be charged for 10 minutes with a battery life of 200-300 kilometers.
