On January 15, Geely Holding Group officially announced its 2020 sales. Data show that Geely Holding Group's total car sales in 2020 will exceed 2.1 million.

     Among them, Geely Automobile (including Lynk & Co) sold 1,320,217 units, ranking first in sales of Chinese brand passenger cars for four consecutive years, and ushered in the milestone moment of 10 million users. It is worth noting that under the background of this data, Geely Automobile (including Lynk & Co) has sold nearly 73,000 overseas vehicles, an increase of 25%.

    Lynk & Co’s total sales volume in 2020 was 175,456 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 37%, and it has gained over 420,000 users; Proton’s cumulative sales in 2020 was 109,716 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 8.8%, and exports increased by 49.8%; Volvo Cars’ global cumulative total in 2020 With sales of 661,713 vehicles, Volvo achieved sales of 166,617 vehicles in the Chinese market, a year-on-year increase of 7.5%.

    Behind the sales volume, Geely Holdings has made frequent moves in the new four modernizations. On January 11, Geely Holdings announced the formation of a smart electric vehicle company with Baidu, based on Geely's latest research and development of the world's leading pure electric architecture-SEA Haohan Intelligent Evolution Experience Architecture.

    On January 13, Geely Holding Group and Foxconn Technology Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two parties will establish a joint venture company to provide OEM production and customized consulting services for global automotive and travel companies, including but not limited to automotive vehicles or parts, Intelligent control system, automotive ecosystem, and the entire industrial chain of electric vehicles, etc.

    In addition, according to foreign media reports, one year after Daimler and Geely obtained regulatory approval for the joint production of Smart electric vehicles in China, the Smart brand revealed that the first model jointly produced by the two companies will be an SUV. The report also pointed out that this SUV will be based on Geely’s SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) and is expected to be launched next year.
