A few days ago, Porsche (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. announced that it will recall a total of 257 vehicles from April 26, 2021. Part of the imported 2021 911, Boxster, and Cayman manufactured between October 14, 2020 and December 23, 2020. , Taycan series cars.
The reason for the recall is that due to the manufacturing process of the vehicle, the edges of the internal threads of the lock nut located at the lower arm of the front suspension and rear suspension of the vehicle have curled edges, which may cause the lock nut to not be tightened according to the specified torque. After the vehicle has been running for a period of time, the front and rear suspensions may be displaced relative to each other, thereby damaging the surrounding components. In extreme cases, loose suspension components will affect the handling of the vehicle, posing safety hazards.
In this regard, Porsche (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. will inspect the components around the front suspension and rear suspension lower arm for free of charge for the vehicles within the scope of the recall. If the components are damaged, replace the corresponding components; at the same time, use the improved lock Install the relevant parts of the front suspension and rear suspension by tightening nuts and tightening bolts to ensure that the locking nuts are installed in accordance with the specified torque to eliminate potential safety hazards.
