　　Sherry House previously served as Waymo's Chief Financial Officer and Head of Investor Relations. This week, she will join Lucid in a new position. Later this year, Lucid will complete the listing and expand its business scale. House will focus on these two tasks after taking office. Michael Smuts will continue to serve as Lucid's vice president of finance, who was previously a financial executive of Ford.

　　Lucid CEO Peter Rawlinson said in a statement: "I am very pleased that Sherry has joined us. This year is a crucial year for the company. Lucid is about to go public and will launch the Lucid Air model. She is not only experienced in finance, but also understands Technology, her arrival has strengthened our core leadership team."

　　Lucid, headquartered in Newark, California, is one of many electric vehicle companies that have chosen to go public through a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC). The company hopes to accelerate its development and continue to challenge Tesla.

The transaction is expected to be completed in the second quarter and will bring Lucid US$4.4 billion in cash.
