Juwan Technology provided Aion V with its super fast-charging ternary soft-pack lithium battery. Up to now, Juwan Technology has completed 3 iterations of cell development for super fast charging ternary soft-pack lithium batteries, and plans to carry mass production on the Aion V model in September this year to maximize the use of charging pile power.
Juwan Technology Research is the first technological innovation company incubated by GAC Group. It was established in September 2020, led by GAC Group, and jointly funded by GAC Capital, GAC Research Institute graphene technology team and a third-party strategic partner holding platform.
The super fast charge battery developed by it focuses on positive and negative materials, separators, and electrolyte. Relying on comprehensive battery development technology, the Juwan Technology Research team accelerates the lithium ion shuttle speed to control the heating problem during the charging process.
In 2019, the Juwan team successfully produced the first prototype, and its battery products have also successfully completed the design and verification process from material formulation, battery cell design and production, modules, PACK, and complete vehicles.
In April of this year, GAC Science and Technology Day announced the Neutron Star Strategy, making it clear that it will continue to improve battery technology from three aspects: battery cells, BMS systems, and battery packs. Among them, the battery cell focuses on the field of sponge silicon negative cell battery technology and super fast charging technology. The BMS system mainly focuses on the application capabilities of domain controllers and big data, while the battery pack focuses on safety, light weight, high integration, and cost. .
On June 29, the energy storage device and system industrial base project of Juwan Technology was settled in Guangzhou Huangpu Development Zone. The project has a total investment of 3 billion yuan, and the estimated production capacity is 8Gwh after completion. The base will be engaged in the research and development and production of super fast charging cores, next-generation new energy storage devices and PACK integrated systems.
In order to smoothly advance the pre-construction, product development and mass production introduction of the above-mentioned production bases, Juwan Technology Research won hundreds of millions of yuan in Pre-A round of financing in July.
Juwan Technology CEO Pei Feng said that Juwan Technology is currently in contact with other OEMs, and battery products have been introduced by other automakers other than GAC.
In addition, the Juwan Mission Department is still accelerating the construction of super fast charging. It is expected to build 100+ super fast charging stations in Guangdong Province in 2021 and establish a super fast charging pilot zone.
